Founder and CEO
A lifelong entrepreneur, he has launched and expanded multiple businesses across Utah and the Northeast. In 2004, he invested in Sky Satellite, a small DIRECTV dealership in Salt Lake City, UT, and led its transformation into the nation’s largest DIRECTV Multi-Family dealer. The rebranding to Sky Connect reflects the company’s growth into internet services, smart home automation, access control, and property management automation. These achievements were made possible by a talented team and trusted partners, many of whom have been with the company since its inception and continue to drive its success today.
President
Is a dynamic professional with extensive experience in operations management and client relations. As the President at Sky Connect, he oversees daily operations. Derek's career at Sky Satellite began in 2003 working in the call center, progressing through many different roles, he considers everyone he works with as family. He holds a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Utah and an MBA from Westminster College. Outside of work, Derek is fluent in Spanish, an avid reader and chess player, Derek's top priorities are his wife and four beautiful boys, with whom he cherishes spending quality time and creating lasting memories.
SVP of Sales and Service
Is a seasoned Senior Vice President of Sales and Service, known for building strong customer relationships and delivering top-tier service. With a diverse background at industry leaders like AT&T and DIRECTV, he has mastered sales management and operational excellence. A Six Sigma-trained professional and proud Ohio University graduate, Adam combines business acumen with language skills to lead high-performing teams. His consultative approach ensures solutions that consistently exceed expectations. Outside of work, Adam enjoys music production, traveling with his wife, and refining his communication skills as a VP of Public Relations and a distinguished Toastmaster.
Chief Technology Officer
Is dedicated to delivering high-impact features in record time. I enjoy the challenge of dissecting clients' needs and pinpointing the most valuable solutions. My extensive coding background spans all major programming languages and databases, complemented by expertise in SCRUM, SIX SIGMA, LEAN methodologies, and certifications in UiPath and RoboCorp. With a keen eye for Process Improvement, I excel at analyzing workflows and optimizing them for speed, efficiency, and minimal waste. Problem-solving and refining processes are in my DNA; I map out pathways, identify bottlenecks, implement changes, and evaluate outcomes to achieve the best results.
AVP of Sales and Service
Director of Strategic Partnerships
Is a seasoned telecom professional with over 20 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, and Business Development. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, he relocated to Denver after earning his BAs in Psychology and Business Administration. A dedicated family man, Kevin has been happily married to Julie for 30 years and is the proud father of two wonderful daughters. Their home is complete with two dogs and a cool cat named Tom. Recently introduced to Pickleball, Kevin now likes to play whenever and wherever possible. He joined the Sky team in June 2024
Customer Success Manager
Is a loyal and fun-loving husband, father, and Customer Success Manager at Sky Connect. Known at home as “babe,” “old man,” or “daddy” (as his 4-year-old says), Nate’s journey with Sky Connect began over a decade ago as a call center rep. He quickly advanced to project manager, building strong relationships with customers, distributors, and the Sky Connect team. Today, he leverages his deep experience to ensure client satisfaction and smooth operations. Outside of work, Nate enjoys grilling on the Blackstone, lifting weights with his boys, and brightening his girls' days with his wit and smile.
Administrative Billing Coordinator
Specializes in billing accounts, receivables, payables, and reporting. She is grateful to have been a member of the Sky family working on accounting since 2005 with breaks here and there to raise her own family. As a mom of 5 and grandma to 1, there is never a dull moment. Away from work, Paula is happiest when traveling, on a pickleball court, stirring up dirt on a trail on foot or atv, camping, or on the water kayaking or paddle boarding.
Project Manager
Has been with Sky Satellite since 2015, specializing in inventory management and shipping operations. He plays a key role in maintaining accurate stock levels and efficient order fulfillment, keeping both our customers and technicians equipped for success. In his home life, James is an aspiring jack of all trades, with interests in linguistics, film and video game history, music, and enjoys spending time with his family and pets.
Customer Experience Manager
Began working for Sky Connect in May of 2022, and though two years may not be a long time spent at a company, she has excelled in her role and was promoted to Customer Experience Manager. She has worked in customer service since she was 15 years old and is there to make sure the job gets done efficiently and accurately. Outside of work, she is working on obtaining her bachelor’s in wildlife Ecology and Management. She loves exploring the outdoors, reading and writing, music, and yoga. She cherishes her four kitties named Jasper, Lucien, Sphinx, and Freyja, as well as her curly hair tarantula, Alice.
Customer Experience Specialist
I take great pride in being a dedicated and hardworking employee. I believe in putting my best foot forward every day, and I strive to meet deadlines and exceed expectations, even when faced with challenges. I approach my work with a proactive attitude, always looking for ways to improve processes and contribute to the team. Collaboration is important to me, and I enjoy working with others to achieve common goals. My determination and resilience drive me to tackle any obstacles that come my way, making me a reliable asset to the organization.

Is a seasoned technician with 25 years of experience in the industry. Nate combines extensive knowledge and a friendly approach to ensure seamless satellite TV installations and repairs. His expertise is matched by his dedication to delivering exceptional customer service. When he's not working, Nate enjoys hitting the golf course, camping in the great outdoors, and cherishing quality time with his family. His long-standing commitment to excellence and his love for technology make him a trusted professional in the field.
